One of our staff is using a oldish version of Boardworks. When she opens PowerPoint files with embedded flash it comes up with the foll lowing error.

 

"Some controls on the presentation cannot be activated."

 

I think they may have installed the latest flash player release at home. I know the player version is 7 on the boardworks cd but we always put 9.0 on all our images. It was working last week which sort of points to the new version of Flash causing the problem.

un install flash and un register the files ( If they still exist ) and rename the flash related files that are in the system32 folder to .old and then re install flash not the latest version but one version prior to the latest one and see if that fixes it

There are a few methods on how to stop flash working ie by altering ACLS or un registering the ocx files etc.
