It's official VMware dropping thick client

So VMware have announced that the thick client will be no longer in future versions.

 

What's everyone's thoughts?

Good news. I use Linux as my main machine and had to run the client in a VM to get full functionality. The existing web client uses Flash, and that doesn't work at all in Firefox (no updated version of Flash on Linux) and I couldn't get the mouse to work using Chrome with Pepperflash. I also use a Linux machine as my main workstation, so the news is very welcome. I'm fed up with having to RDesktop to a server to use the client software. I find that functionality through chrome is ok, but I can't get the VM Console view to work through it.
