Eduroam

[Scrambles]

Hi All,

We are currently in the planning stages of setting up a Radius authenticated WLAN.

The idea being that users with BYOD devices will connect to the network using their credentials, it will pop them on the appropriate VLAN and pass through the credentials to the smoothwall for logging.

Since we are looking at implementing this anyway, my thoughts were that it would be worth looking at EduRoam to make it easier for any visiting guests / students from the local uni's to get on our systems with little intervention from ourselves.

I know a few people here use EduRoam so I was just curious if they have any feedback ?

The CAT Onboarding tool looks like an easy way to get on, but when I search for high schools, no-one pops up. Does anybody have CAT or is that just not available to us ?

Thanks =]
