Kadabra has always needed to be traded to evolve.

But being Gen1, it doesn't need any fancy item to evolve, so no hunting around for a King's Rock etc

 

Same with Machoke, Haunter and Graveller.

lol probably but then i went looking for a dusk stone to evolve something or other and i diddnt have on eluckily one randomly tuned up at poke paligo and decided to saty and hopefully this time the syther that has returned will

beat the game this weekend. On with filling the 'dex now and catching the legendaries. Also need to get me a female eevee!! Do you have to beat the people for the guy is the discount megamart? Then do you get one?

hey it gets worse. Imagine that pokemon was a real world you did all your trialling at the age of say 11 then boxed a load of mon (now my understanding is time dosent pass normally in the pc/a pokeball) so youre 60 now and you pull out your starter think of the shock to the mon youve aged (and lived without them for about 50 years) and its effectively missed most of your life and been dragged into the future lol (thats ignoring the 100's you catch and will never see the light of day again as you just catch to fill in the dex

In the Anime, 'mons in box are sent to a Pokémon ranch to live our their lives

Though if we're mentioning being 11, shouldn't we point out that certain Pokémon are literally hotter than the sun. Or how about the ones that can open black holes to protect their trainer. This is the kind of power that shouldn't be given to 11 year old's. Or anyone.

I noticed as I was passing that @X-13's daycare had an entire wing closed off with 'BIOHAZARD' warnings everywhere.. I snuck in last night and what I found was horrifying..

So I was able to get a Metang from the berry island game (can't remember the name), so anyone else had much luck with Pokémon from that part of the game?

I got the keyring pokemon from pokemelagio... had a few others like zubat and pincir.

ive got the odd mon from the poke peligo but not much and almost always pointless duplicates

 

well thanks to @Joanne 's patience last night my moon run now has all 3 starters rounded out with a slowpoke i caught (but will be ditching as i used one in sun) a munchlax and some other rando lol but i can basically do a full run with starters. At least the start to where you can trade is quickish (45-60 mins) (did debate doing one throw away run in a foreign language for a laugh but decided against it lol)

true but then sometimes its the exact opposite you have trouble reading it before it disappears (though less common and probably due to also trying to read some translated sign as well at the same time)

 

also i can usually read English programme subtitles way before the voices get there
