I ended up SOS chaining caterpies the other night. Not because I wanted to, just the Metapod wouldn't get in the flask ball.

(Yes I know it's better to raise a Caterpie, but I was catching it just for 'dex, not to use)

Raising caterpie is only better if you plan on actively using it while leveling up.

 

It needs tackle.

 

Otherwise, keep it in the team and let exp share do it's thing.

Just caught Lunala [in a moon ball for maximum style ]

 

Legitimately added about 2 hours onto my playtime trying to find a Modest/Timid Abra with Synchronise, they all seem to have Inner Focus.

 

I'm now 8 natures off of having a Sync Abra with every nature that changes stats. There are 25 natures, 5 do nothing... 12 Abras kept, and I got a bunch of dupes.

 

Ended up going for a Modest Lunala because it was the first one I found.

 

Also, first Popplio I hatched was Modest. Swapped it into my team and it got 22 levels from the first pokemon I fought in a trainer battle. [They had level 55 'mons]

 

I'm probably going on a breeding spree when I reach the E4.

Shiny Gyarados is cool, though.

well the post elite 4 content is hard granted i wasnt expecting a big battle or i would of done some healing but most of my party had fainted and i won with my lapras on 1hp after surviving an attack because it loved me lol on the plus side the battle tree is now open to me and i know how to catch more lunala/solgaleos but looks more hassle than its worth not that that will stop me lol

If you have something with Synchronise in the first slot of your team, wild pokemon have a 50% chance to have the same nature.

 

I farmed Abra to get a Modest or Timid one with Synchronise so the Lunala would have that nature, and ended up with pretty much every nature except for Modest and Timid.

what about zygard bits? im in the mid 60s

 

if you want a laugh see how much anything costs at the battle tree (or whatever its called) you get 1 point per win and some items cost 64 points(iirc cheapest is 16) so far my long streak is 4 wins before getting anhialated

 

also id go find "mulder and scully" in the route 8 motel hint (just be level 65+)

Think I've just got my 7th or 8th badge thing. Battling the geek guy in the observatory. Want to evolve my Rockruff... he's on level 30 and still not evolved. Do I need to make him happy? How annoying is that grooming / feeding / petting crap?

you can just catch an evloved rockruff as ive managed to get both day/night versions in sun (and iirc they do evolve on their own but it needs to be day in sun and night in moon for them to evolve)

Did you really just sign up to an ICT Professional forum just to ask about Pokémon levelling techniques? O.o

But yes. I would assume the EXP share and repeatedly battling the E4 would be the best way to level if you're doing it one at a time. You're guaranteed to be able to keep repeating the encounters, and trainer 'mons give more EXP than wild 'mons.

 

Might be quicker to power-level 5-at-a-time in grass, though.

im just being really lazy using exp share and wandering to the patch of grass just north of poni islands pokecentre havnt gone back and done the elite 4 costs too much in healing items and you cant level 5 crummy mon as easily

the green shineys you pick up in game? I believe you take them somewhere and recombine them into a mon but what mon you get depends on how many bits you have/use (i was told once thought too much work gave up other than grabbing whatever i see as its an rpg and

You can form Zygarde and depending on how many cells you have it will be the 25%, 50%, or 100% powered forme. You can make Zygarde, and then power him up with additional cells later.
