Video streaming using raspivid, netcat and TCP/ip

I have successfully established a tcp/ip connection between my raspberry pi (server) and my windows pc (client).

 

 

I want a live video streaming via netcat (the similar command which we use in the raspberry command window like raspivid -t 20000 -o - | nc 172.16.26.32 5001 ) AFTER the tcp connection betweeen the two devices is established. On the server (Raspberry Pi) I am using Geany- a simple c++ compiler to write my code.

 

 

On the client side (windows PC), I have to receive the video and display it using openCV.

 

 

my thought process was

1. use netcat for a finite time (eg: 20 seconds) and save it in a tcp ip buffer. Later, transfer that buffer to the client via TCP-IP.

2. Follow the above procedure in a loop until i get a keypress.

 

 

My question is:

1. How do i include the raspivid libraries on the server side code.

 

 

2. How do i include the netcat libraries on pc and raspberry (On pc i am using visual studio 2012 )

 

 

What I have tried:

 

 

Initally i tried to write the netcat function in the c++ code the server side. But it didnt work as i didnt know which libraries should be included.
