ESET with Hyper-V

Hi,

 

I am sure its just little old me but I am having no end of issues with ESET. I am sat here after rebuilding a server again with the ESET MAIN GUI taking up 99% of the CPU... again.

 

ESET have asked for logs and dumps which I am getting together but does anyone use it with Hyper-V and have you had to change anything in the rules as they already have loads of exceptions already setup.

 

I also run DPM which it seems to have had a tizzy fit with too.

 

Has anyone disabled real-time and just used scheduled scanning? I had this setup with Vipre (oh I miss you) but I don't trust ESET yet.. although it has been very good on the clients finding nasties and especially emails.

What version of ESET are you running? Used version 5 and 6 without any problems.

Its version 6. All the issues I am having started when I put ESET on my server so I am at the stage where I am going to replace it on my servers. Its a massive coincidence that my issues begun at the same time as I installed this on.

 

There's no exceptions for the DPM server, TechNet helped but my VSS have all gone haywire on a few of the servers which is weird.

I expect you have read this https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff399439.aspx and added the exceptions by hand.
