can any one clarify this for me

teachers are running Roaming and kids are using Mandatory

I want the UserData folder of Google Chrome to be in the teachers homedrive ( will speedup logins)

I want the kids Userdata folder to just redirect to the profile ( it gets deleted anyhow)

How can i do this with the Chrome ADMX ?, googles reg keys are stored in the local machine and not the HKCU

Yep, using the ADMX files provides you the ability to do this under user settings.

This may slow Chrome down. Also if a member of staff has Chrome open on one computer they can't open it on another.

In addition to what @FN-GM mentioned, you will almost certainly come across the following plugin issue when Chrome automatically updates itself.

https://crbug.com/572131

Enable deduplication on the server storing the profiles and you won't have to worry about disk space used by Chrome (or do what @FN-GM suggested and keep it local).

The storage isnt really the issue regarding the user data in the roaming profile. The problem is more logon times taking an extra few mins to load the profile during peak .

Keeping it local will mean any favorites and browsing history wont be accessible , maybe i could setup a script to copy it at logon ? and then just keep the directory local.

Thanks every one for the replys
