Windows 10 default wallpaper - login screen

Anyone replaced the default logon screen successfully?, Windows 7 is pretty straight forward but 10 appears to be rather different.

 

attempted to replace img0.jpg in the windows\web folder (after changing some permissions) appears to be ignoring it :/

 

found some hints for changing it at the point of deployment but we do like to change the image occasionally.

interesting but not quite what i am after.

there is a 3rd party utility that can do it but i dont like using those for something which should not be this much aggro...
