[sims] Recover deleted results

Is it possible to recover deleted results? One of my colleagues has accidentally deleted a set of results for a subject across a year group rather than just for one individual class.

 

Any advice gratefully received, as I don't fancy asking teachers to input their data again!

Assuming there are overnight backups of the sims server you could restore from that. You would lose the days changes in sims though so choose whichever is the lesser of two evils.

or fire the backup onto a spare server and find the results you're missing.

 

you could import them or even manually enter them.

 

no loss of data using this method.

You can restore the last night's backup with a different database name or to another computer, temporarily alter 1 connect.ini to point to it. Then open the old SIMS, export the results as a results file and import it in to the live SIMS database and remove the backup copy of the SIMS database afterwards.
