Having real problems with this the last couple of days.

Now I have 2 PCs which will connect to SchoolComms. After the log-on screen information is entered, the error:

"The system cannot make a connection to the Schoolcomms Centre across the Internet. This may be a result of a fault with your Internet connection or because your proxy settings are incorrect. Would you like to check your proxy settings?"

The settings are set correctly "Bypass your computer's default proxy". However, if I try and change this setting to 'experiment' it will not save. It says that:

"SchoolComms cannot connect through this proxy and port. Confirm that your Internet connection is working and the proxy settings are correct before testing again"

The settings are correct. (And actually, on the next opening of Schoolcomms, it has in fact, saved the settings), the internet connection is fine, Schoolcomms was all working up to a few days ago.

It's the same for different users on the same machine, so it's not the user. The account works on other machines. One machine presented this problem 2 days ago, another, just today.

I've been on the phone to SchoolComms and they're looking into it, but the end user is really struggling with access, so I thought I'd pick your brains!

Sorted it - I was trying to install the root certificate update at that is causing issues on a few computers with browsing errors, but couldn't find it anywhere. Anyway, a generic Windows update of about 20/30 updates seems to have sorted it. Not sure which one did it, but it's running again!
