sparkeh Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Ok so I'll decrypt that thread title: basically, if I download the latest version of Reader DC and extract the files, it comes with a patch to take it to version 2015.010.20056 (which is the latest version avaibale from the updates page: Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Windows) but if I let it auto update it finds a patch to take it to 2015.010.20059. Is it normal for the patches to be released for download so long after they are available to the auto updater?!
ajs Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Some patches are issued purely as security or hotfix patches and don't get bundled into the main download so you have to grab them from the Adobe FTP site. (in simple terms anyway) 1
