Careers Database Application - CRM ?

Morning all,

 

Putting the feelers out there to see if anyone knows or has an application that will fill a hole we currently have.

 

We have an in-house careers adviser that meets with Students each year and records information regarding their meeting and then wants to print off a letter regarding this with the information.

It needs to retain history of the records and have an easy search facility etc...

 

In short - A DB application or CRM type system

 

Does anyone have any suggestions of software/applications for this other than the usual generic options of Access, SQL, Online CRM offerings.
