Windows 8 Machine Connected but not..?

Hey Guys

 

My mum's machine is a Acer something or other and it's worked fine up until now. For some strange reason the computer will connect to our home wifi and get's all the correct settings via DHCP although for some reason she can't ping anything internally or externally. Website's won't work either. All the other machines in the house are fine it's just my mum's. Can't get my head around it!

 

Anything I can try?

Usual turn firewall and and Uac turned off? First check points :-)

Uac shouldn't be the problem but it's possible windows firewall thinks it's a public network not a private one.
