poly mac 4.1 to 5.1 firmware upgrade.

I bought a core2 due for my old Mac, that's gr8 works a treat. But I also want to up the ram and get onto yosam or elcap.

 

There is a firmware update hack but I just can't get it to work, the machine downloads the f/w updater but after the reboot it goes it update mode but does nothing.

 

Anyone tried it?
