I saw this mentioned on BBC breakfast today Digital safe offers solution to password thefts - BBC News

So what am I missing? It says "Silicon Safe has designed a special box - a piece of hardware which stores passwords separate to the network." It also says "There is no conventional interface with the back-end systems although it does allow web servers to send login credentials to the system in order to authenticate passwords." So it is on the network then.

Here are a couple of roll your own password safes which aren't on the network. I've thought about making either, but the Post-It on the underside of the drawer is good enough for me :)
