synaesthesia Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Ah, that explains it! Crappy software, didn't hesitate in swapping it out for Chrome on the infected machines!
elsiegee40 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Daughter has been moaning about this exact problem this morning. Permanent fix- use Chrome
NokiX Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 We wondered why two staff iPads came in with the same issue today! Thanks for this.
CRYPTIC Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Same. Just had a flood of students through the door all complaining that the 'Internet is crashing'. Another workaround I've been using, as I can't get at all of our iPads to turn Safari Suggestions off as they are out in lessons, is to go through google search if you have it as a bookmark/homepage on the new tab screen as this doesn't trigger the crash from what I've found. Ofc this only works if you can actually get that far as often times it just straight up crashes when you open it anyway... Cheers for this though; nice to know its not just me...
