Hi

I have recently setup RDS on a 3 hosts just for remote sims, now I have noticed that the host is filling up with profiles, is it best just to script delprof2 to delete these every few weeks or would you recommend a better way?

Also is there a way of stopping the desktop from redirecting to the one in there home directory?

Thanks in advance

Not sure if you have roaming profiles etc, but if it's just normal local ones wouldn't even worry (unless you got millions of staff) at 100Mb~ or so per user, even 100 staff should only be 10Gb

And we have a separate Desktop redirected for RDS (Just shortcuts to programs as people get confused with 2012R2 start menu)

I had to scrub profiles a few weeks ago as logins where sticking, we currently only have 5 or so users using it.

As for a different desktop how do you apply that?

We got 80 users who have used our RDS server (that's for all programs, SIMs, Adobe CS, Office etc etc) and only using 12Gb~ in profiles, so if it's breaking with 5 might be something up :s

We got 2 GPOs one that applies to 2012R2 using WMI filter, and one that applies to Windows 7 using WMI filters (or whatever your OS is on Desktops).

So depending what they login it redirects it different, when it's on RDS server it redirects desktop to a shared folder that holds shortcuts :)
