impero version 5116

I know there has been a lot of threads about impero recently but need to start another one.

Asked for update to latest stable version last night as we need to test windows 10 and support contract is coming up for renewal.

They gave me download to version 5116 - we were on 5.0.03 and I had been holding off upgrade.

I copied upgrade to server and it updated ok but now a lot of clients won't update and none of the consoles will connect even if i manually install the new version and restart them. Some workstations have updated finally but it has taken a long while - none of consoles are showing as connected.

Can't get hold of support - long wait and then answerphone.

Anybody else got this version working ok or had similar problems?

When I tried Impero on win10 I had to backdate .net framework to v3.5 and disable WCF services under .NET v4.6

Hello, it looks like we have had similar issues, so here is what happened down here and hopefully it will be of help:

 

We updated our server but it did not work properly, after 4 hours on the phone and been put through to answering machine 7 or 8 times, we got hold of support who checked our licence was correct for the server and client version we had installed. They also made sure the installers were in the update folder and clearing it completely of the older version. Afterwards manually installing the new version and restarting fixed about half of the machines.

 

Impero sounded incredibly busy over the phone, so either keep trying that or email them using their support email found on their webpage would be the best advice until you get through.

 

I'll update if I find out anything else!

thanks for advice - have emailed and left message. One console has come up for some reason so we have some control but no other console machines will connect.

Can't get it to install at all on win 10 machines but will try nelliot's suggestion
