codeclubkatharine Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Hi folks This year at BETT I'm part of a Raspberry Pi / Code Club talk on the STEAM Village Stage at BETT on Friday 22nd Jan from 10.45 - 11.15. The topic is "Excitement! Adventure! Making Primary Computer Science More Dynamic" and we'll be looking at how to introduce physical computing into primary settings. The Raspberry Pi / Code Club stand is in the STEAM village and then look for stand E463. We have workshops running every half an hour on a massive variety of subjects, whether you're looking at supporting the technology used in teaching computing, teaching computing yourself or you're a hobbyist who would like the chance to tinker and get hands-on. This is the full workshop programme from Wednesday to Saturday and I'll be around on the stand on Friday and Saturday if you want to come and have a chat. There's nothing to buy so no sales pitches, just lots of learning opportunities, great conversations and goody bags for those who take part in workshops! Thanks Katharine 1
jonathon28 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Hi Katharine, Interested in this, never played with a Raspberry Pi before although I have been meaning to buy one to play with.
elsiegee40 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Sounds good For those that haven't worked it out, Katharine's our regular kaphc who followed her calling out of IT support in schools and into getting kids coding. 1
codeclubkatharine Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 @Jonathan28 Have a look at the workshop timetable and check out any of the sessions with a red dot next to it - they are particularly good for anyone new to Raspberry Pi.
