Joomla Ldap & SSO

We have a joomla site setup on IIS, i am using this plugin for ldap and SSO JMapMyLDAP. I have the ldap side of things working correctly but i am having issue with the single sign on. Just doesn't seem to work. Is anyone using this plugin? if so do is there anything on the IIS side of things i need to configure for this to work? The dummy SSO plugin works ok

I think the reason is the value _SERVER["REMOTE_USER"] has no value. so it must be a config issue with iis. We have anonymous auth and windows auth enabled. We want the site to log staff and students automatically when in school and externally it just acts like a normal site.
