Has anyone got any thoughts on building your virtualised solution on this platform? You should be able to have two servers with the storage provided by scale out file server.

Personally I wouldn't use it for production, we were looking at one before but found some horror stories online (not that model but just server in box style), as obviously it's all reliant on that one piece of hardware. It goes down and you've lost everything.

 

For example most are built around using an internal switching module to talk between the internal storage/servers and external.

 

Guess that depends what reason you're looking at them for. (End of day one of main reasons for virtualisation is to add ease of management and resilience etc)
