Smart Notebook 11.4 error

Hi there

 

We have two teachers who take their laptops off-site and work from home. Smart notebook works fine in school but throws up the error on launch at home (off the network): Cannot save custom tools. The changes you made to notebook software tools will not be available next time you open notebook software.

 

Click OK and the programme crashes.

 

Has anybody found a fix for this?

Do you use folder redirection with Offline files? The smart notebook folder in their home folder needs to be synced for offline use.

We sync all their Documents for offline use. Should the folder have special permissions?

Not that im aware of. Delete the folder and it will be recreated next time you open Notebook. Sync the foder manually and try again offline.

Bit of an old thread but I fixed this today, the offline files had reached it's max limit so wasn't syncing the Smart home folder, once I increased the cache size and cleared the conflicts the smart custom tools error went away..

I looked into that and increased the cache size. Also, removed said program and re-installed fixed the problem.
