Shell.exe / logging off RDS

Hi,

 

I'm playing about with Windows Thin PC & trying to get a bit more life out of old machines by converting them to thin clients.

 

I've followed guides I've found on this site and elsewhere (replaced the shell: explorer.exe with an RDP file, set group policy to pass a users credentials through to the RDP session) & that works pretty good... apart from, when a user logs out of the RDP session the screen just goes blank.

 

What I need to happen is: when a user logs out of an RDP session it also logs them out of Windows Thin PC - so the next user can log on with their own credentials

 

Reading the guides, it looks like I need a program called 'Shell.exe' - unfortunately all the links I can find to it are broken.

 

Is it still out there? Is it what I need?

Or is there something better?!

We have done something simular, we are using local gpo to use a custom shell (a vbs script which calls a bat which calls a mstsc file, then logs user off when mstsc closes)
