Starting salary SCP 34-38 £30,131 - £33,351 per annum

(Dependant on relevant management experience)

37 hours a week and 52 weeks a year

Permanent vacancy (subject to 6 month probationary period) starting ASAP

Hours normally Mon to Fri 8.30 - 4.30 or similar (30 min lunch)

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join and lead the IT team in an Academy that is committed to the provision of quality IT resources for students and staff. The Marlborough Science Academy provides a modern, dynamic and challenging work environment with a wide range of opportunities to gain experience in maintaining and developing network IT systems.

You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the school’s IT networks. The successful candidate will have proven network management and IT problem solving experience for hardware and software problems in a busy environment. This role requires a good understanding of current Windows operating systems for PC’s and Servers. You will ideally have a working knowledge of SIMS software and have previous experience of maintaining asset management registers. You will have proven line management experience. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage IT related contracts and to ensure that IT budgets are carefully managed. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to plan for the short and long term IT needs of the school. This is a varied and vital role that requires great flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to use initiative as well as a “can do” attitude in a pressurised environment.

Starting Salary SCP 34-38 £30,131 - £33,351 per annum (dependent on experience); 37 hours a week (excluding lunch breaks); 52 weeks per annum; with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
