Windows 10 on a tablet - Useless for kids at home?

OK, out of the classroom and managed environment for this little rant, but after trying to get my sons Xmas pressie, a Linx 7 tablet setup for him I'm now at the end of my teather.

A couple of years back I'd grabbed my kids their names in theie own email addys at Outlook.com, so you have [email protected], which, to be fair they don't quite appreciate yet but a few years down the line I'm sure they'll thank me :)

Anyway, I'd set up his Linx with this email and proceeded to the store to get some apps and games on there.

All I can say is that it's almost impossible. Netflix? Forget it as you have to be 'over 16' to download and install this. Freemium games which he enjoys without paying for in-app stuff? Nope, they just come up with a 'Something happended at our end' message.

I'll just have to wipe it and go again with the account I created for the Xbox.

I just don't see the logic in having to use a 'false' account if you want your kids to be able to use Windows 10 at home. We never had this problem with Android :(
