Jaymate Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Have installed HAP 10.5 and just getting to grips with it. Staff can see their own user area fine and add folders / upload files with no problem. On shared areas staff staff can access the shared area and download files but there is no upload option or new folder option. If i give staff NTFS permissions on the drive individually rather than by group they can see the upload option. It is as though HAP cannot see the group permissions. Any ideas where we are going wrong?
nickbro Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 You may need to do some http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/86059-hap-json-debugging.html to find out what HAP+ is passing down in my files for that folder. It should pick up NTFS stuff, but it may struggle in mapping groups
Jaymate Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 Still unable to use any form of group permissions on HAP - anyone else doing this? Have tried the JSON debugging but not quite sure what to look for Really need to get this sorted
nickbro Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 You need to look to see what HAP+ is pulling out, if it's showing a lot of falses, then it's a sign that either HAP+ can't pull the correct NTFS permissions, or an AD configuration issue. Neither can be easily fixed. Does the user you are using have Read Permissions permission?
