TKCOM Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Hi I'm playing around with the Edugeek / Joomla site and I'm having a bit of trouble with colour picker - basically when you click on the different colours on the colour picker nothing happens As far as I can see I've uploaded everything from the install download. All other modules seem to be working ok it's the just colour picker! Any ideas??
TKCOM Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 I've installed it on my home PC - IIS, MySql, PHP and with my host which is LAMP and with both installs the colour picker isn't working It's not a huge deal as I only wanted to select the 'green' rokwebify theme for the site theme
MkII Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Gotta be permissions! You could edit the template and make the green version default
TKCOM Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks for the reply Mark! how do I make the green rokwebify the default template?
MkII Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 From backend admin > Site > Template Manager... select the radio button next to the template name > Edit HTML > // ************************************************* // Change this variable to switch the default color-scheme // ************************************************* $primary_style = "blue"; // blue | light | red | burgundy | coffee | mint | lime | orange | highc-1 | highc-2 Change "blue" to your desired default > save (the file (/templates/rt_rokwebify/index.php) must be writeable)
TKCOM Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Fabulous stuff mate! Thanks alot!!!! Even though I've set up Joomla dozens of times, I'm only beginnig to realise how little I really *know* about using it - time to spend some time on getting to know it a bit better I think! Cheers mate for your help
Ric_ Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 @TKOM: Also check out the wikki at http://edugeek.net/wiki/index.php/The_EduGeek_Joomla_Package#FAQs where there is a FAQ containing some of these details.
TKCOM Posted January 20, 2008 Author Posted January 20, 2008 Cheers Ric! My next question was going to be 'how do I remove the colour pickers...' and the answer was sitting there in the wiki! Thanks mate!
