Edit MSI Install Location

Hi

We have an MSI and it installs to Program Files(x86). Can I set it anywhere to it installs in just Program files instead? Thanks

Why would you want to install a 32-bit program in the 64-bit folder?

You can try getting ORCA from microsoft - you can then generate an MST to alter the location.

 

MS have hidden it away a bit but you can still get it.

Educational Software !! 2Simple collection has a splash screen that has links to all the 2 simple collection programs. They programmed there software to look for program files (its old software). Because we're putting it on 64 bit machines it installs into x86 and there splash screen doesn't think the programs are installed.

there is I believe a fix for that but don't have it to hand

 

ive never got why ms split it up in the first place its a bunch of files who cares and if you must surely program files (x64) for native stuff makes more sense?
