Logon Limit - Per Username

Afternoon Guys,

 

So there Logon Limit is great but because Smoothwall can't pass through the user IP and passes the Smoothwall one on (which is logged on HAP) I'm guessing the ban blocks the whole internet from connecting?

 

If so is there a way to reduce the timeout, or "ideally" block a username not an IP?

Hmm, you may want to look at using proxy exceptions to not route the logon tracker through smoothwall proxy server, it should be direct to your HAP server. HAP+ uses reverse lookups to get the computer name, so if it's just getting the smoothwall boxes ip address that's all it will report
