Ryan_Romeo_ Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Hello, Got some digital sign-age screens around the school they are all running windows XP with rise vision, but recently all screens will not connect to rise vision it throws an error, when I try and access and Google website to say update chrome it get "Invalid Server Certificate" I'm wondering if this could have anything to do with why rise vision is not running? If any one can help or have any suggestions that would be great as really need to get the screens back up and running. They are quite old and not the best spec that's why I believe they are running windows XP doubt they would run anything else, my only other thought was to install Linux on them like ubuntu and then run rise vision? but I'm not the best with Linux so would rather stick with windows haha. Steve21 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 It could be they've updated their SSL certs and it's one of the newer ones that isn't supported by old stuff anymore e.g. SHA2 512 or what not If you click on the crossed out HTTPS on Chrome doesn't it say why it's upset? Or what the cert is etc? Steve

Ryan_Romeo_ Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Fails on that as well just get the same error, fails on both internet explorer and chrome? I can browse to BBC website just some that I cant like google and that website you provided.

Ryan_Romeo_ Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 All the screens are running service pack 2 I believe, do you think upgrading to service pack 3 will fix the issue?
Steve21 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 If you try this one: https://www.ucas.com does it load ok? That's on an older cert that should be supported still. (Chrome might show a warning still as it's deemed "bad" but try IE) Steve

Steve21 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 They both load fine on my old XP machine that has SP3 with the other patches to them. Might be worth trying one if you can update one of the machines without that causing any problems? Steve
