Targus presentation remote - linking USB receiver

So basically these tiny USB receivers keep getting left in computers and going missing etc. So I've got a collection of remotes and receivers, none of which seem to be paired with each other.

 

Does anyone know if it's possible to 're-link' them?

Some of those remotes have a connect button underneath to resync, but seems most the ones we have don't like different dongles, and the price of a replacement doesn't work out effective Got a bunch sitting here
