Skype Broadcasting isn't included in Office 365 EDU plans yet. Hopefully it will come as it is an amazing feature. All the setup is there ready by the looks of it just not able to use it.

I regularly broadcast and share my screen with a colleague at another school via SfB

I'm just having a look in the admin section of Skype for Business on 365, looks like there might be some settings on there that could be blocking it. Thing is it won't let me change it for just the faculty users.... hmmm.

Alas yes it's allow all or block all, but it depends who you have assigned the SfB or Lync licence to in your tenancy. We only assign it to staff as we do not want the students to IM each other all the time.

That is different to Skype Broadcast. With this you can broadcast to something silly like 10,000 viewers and use multiple cameras and director possibilities.

This is the link for Skype meeting broadcast. If you try to use this with a Non-business Microsoft ID (e.g. Hotmail) or skype ID you get this error.

“Your company policy doesn't allow you to use Skype Meeting Broadcast. Check with your system admin to make sure the service is enabled and that you have the correct license.”

Also get this error with our Schools Office 365 account. The tenancy is with Link2ICT service is called BGfL365. IS this something they can enable or do we have to pay for the Office 365 Education E5 plan https://products.office.com/en-gb/academic/compare-office-365-education-plans

We have tried out livestream.com iPad app which works flawlessly but you cannot make the stream private in the free plan. The paid for plan is extortionatly expensive.

Does thecube.com allow you to password protect or otherwise make private the stream?
