babagee Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Hi All, I was wondering if there is any further development being done on HAP+ Thanks...
nickbro Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Unfortunately not as much I would like to, too busy with work
babagee Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 I was think along the lines of external sharing of files, something like Dropbox.
Steve21 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I was think along the lines of external sharing of files, something like Dropbox. In what sense sharing externally though? As if you want a whole folder shared you could just use IIS and a folder with directory browsing on? Or did you mean something more specific Steve
babagee Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 IIS and directory browsing is not very secure, I was thinking along the lines of sharing files with 3rd parties, for the likes of projects and collaboration, as I said much like Dropbox where you can share a file or folder and users get an email when the file or folder is updated. We have been testing this software Education | Foldr - Free your files and it is quite good but does not allow the end user to upload to the shared folder. I have spoken with the developers and they are going to release a new version in January which will allow this. I just like the fact that HAP+ is free and an excellent product.

If you want it secure, you could always just create a new AD user for that company, and make a different set of lockdowns/mappings within HAP for it? e.g. Just share a "project drive" Only a thought Steve
babagee Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Hi Steve, Thanks for the suggestion, but not exactly what we are looking for as we would end up creating far too many AD users for this. Plus, notifications would be good. I know I am possibly asking for quite a bit of work, but just thought I would inquire re the further development on HAP+
nickbro Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 There are two share options built into HAP+, one is OneDrive and the other is GoogleDocs.
babagee Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Hi Nick, Can you tell me where the documentation is regarding OneDrive please?
babagee Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 Hi Nickbro, I have checked the documentation from here https://www.codeplex.com/Download?ProjectName=hap&DownloadId=829460 and there is no mention of OneDrive in there.
