Cannot run PushPackageToAgent: Endpoint net.tcp://137.116.225.204:52966/ not found.

Has anyone come across this error on SOLUS 3? I had Capita look at this issue, and they informed me that the server cannot communicate with the ports 52965 and 52966. But the firewall has been turned off, and checking netstat the ports are showing as "listening".

 

Using Telnet on the server, I get the the following error: Could not open connection to the host on port 23: Connect Failed. Telnet client has been installed on the server.

 

The has a separate admin and curriculum network but over the same IP range. So I'm getting the "Cannot run PushPackagetoAgent" error on the curriculum workstations only. Those workstations also have their firewall turned off!!

 

What else could be blocking the ports? Would the antivirus block the ports? The school is using Sophos.

Sophos does have firewall if you enable it.

 

Normally when we get this error it's on our laptops, or rebuilt stations, and the DNS entry has changed.

The IP is in Azure. Why? If its the server is in Azure and the clients are onprem (not sure how good an idea that is) then you need to add a endpoint in azure for the port - assuming your going over the internet and not over a vpn\direct route\whatever its called.

 

Just to check "The has a separate admin and curriculum network but over the same IP range." - you mean you have one IP ranges which both admin and curriculum machines are on - eg admin01 is on 192.168.10.4 and curr-class3-1 is on 192.168.10.5. Its not you have two IP ranges both the same - eg you have admin is on 192.168.10.4 and curr-class3-1 is on 192.168.10.4.

 

 

EDIT - 137.116.225.204 sends you to http://www.lgfl.net/ - :S is this the LGFL gateway address? Wonder why they have selected US region rather then a EU location :S

Tried a different workaround...uninstalled the SOLUS 3 agent and manually installed the agent on the workstation. Removed and added the workstation on SOLUS 3 Deployment Server UI and now SOLUS cannot communicate with workstation. Tried the \\workstationname\c$ in the start menu and could not find the workstation. I get the "network path not found" error. I use the IP address instead i.e. \\IPAddress\c$ and I get the login box appear!

 

Is this an issue with DNS on the workstation end?

Resolved this issue!! Actually the curriculum and admin networks were on different IP ranges. So I had to put the curriculum server and workstations IP addresses and computer names in the hosts file on the admin server! Once I did this, the agents installed on the workstations followed by SIMS! Finally after weeks of frustration...success!!
