Eudora931 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Hi there, My school uses Google Drive as its staff shared - does anyone back up their whole school google drive or can recommend some way of doing this that doesn't involve spending lots of money on Cloud backup solutions e.g Backify etc... Many thanks :-)

JamesA Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 There is Google Takeout, users have to download their own files though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Takeout
eean Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Google do it for you. If you need to restore something, just go to the user account, set the date range and select "restore data". I thought this was limited to the last month. Backupify claims to offer unlimited storage for $4/user/month. Now, if you have one owner for your staff shared (which seems a better way than having everyone have stuff in their own folders) then you only need to pay for one user. However, I'm not sure if they would be too happy about you paying only $48/year to backup your entire shared drive. Has anyone else tried this?
