Hi, Just a quick and, hopefully, easy one for you all. I have the Education Welfare Officer on my SIMS as a user as she works from here for a day a week. Trouble is that she is throwing up an error on the census as she is not employed here hence we hold no employment Details for her. What is the way around this folks; without removing her as i assume there must be a way..... or am i being stupidly optimistic?

untick "eligible for SWR" on her personal details screen.

If she's just a user she shouldn't be picked up by the census, I'm guessing you have a employee record for her too.

Thanks bobsmith indeed.

That did cross my mind but i didn't know exactly what it meant. What does it stand for? And what do mean by have an employee record; is that what we are looking at in SIMS? She is not paid or employed by this school; she is a council officer.

SWR stands for Staff WorkForce Record (or something like that) - so if someone is unticked then they will be exempted.

SIMS has both employees and users - you can have a user record without an employee record - perfect for these situations.

An employee on the other hand will almost always have both an employee and a user record - but again not all employees will be users - unless your cleaners are supposed to be taking registers and looking up student details.....

You will need to include the EWO in your third party staff headcount though. Where you put the count of chefs, cleaners, etc. But only if they were in on census day.
