Morning all,

We have recently purchased PlanetDV's eStream product, and have rolled it out for digital signage and dynamic screensavers so far, with the view to use it for lesson capture(amazing signage by the way).

We also want to start digitizing old DVD's and VHS cassettes, which brings up a licencing issue.

If we were dealing with broadcast and loads of recordings etc, it would be ERA, but at 90p to £2.50 a head for the license, this is way out of budget. Is there any other licencing that would cover us for internal use of purchased recordings?

Thanks

James

For use of recordings, it isn't ERA you need. It would be MCPS.

You must have ERA to have legally recorded any "off air" programmes. SO...

You have just entered a minefield, wait for the explosions!
