I never had any dealings with the school itself but, they have a CLC onsite (or used to) which is annexed from the school. However, the CLC lost funding approx. 5 years ago and the staff that were part of the CLC have since moved on to pastures new.

 

From what I can recollect the CLC was compeltely speced with iMacs (aluminium) c. 2008 that dual-booted to a RM CC3 network. My school used to use the facilities to create time lapse photos into video. This was at the time of when I joined my school where IT was seriously lacking in all aspects. 2 years later we stopped using the facilities when my school's IT was heavily modernised.

 

We currently have a trainee teacher that's doing his PGCE through the teaching school. They've supplied him with a brand new Toshiba Ultrabook. I got jealous cos it looked slick and sexy and made the entire school's HP ProBooks look heavily outdated.

 

Anyway, enough of me babbling on. I think the school would be good for anybody where its continually improving on its technology usage.

Would be nice if this Academy weren't using the Local Government pay spine along with an NJC-evaluated grade though...
