[sims] SIMS Report with photos and targets

Hello,

 

I have a report set up in SIMS which provides me with photos of a class. Alongside these photos, I want to show data from that classes marksheet, specifically their target grade.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If it's a report from the reporting engine, you would need to add a sub-query (red button on the side) to link to the assessment/results data area, and filter down with conditions until you get to the grades you want. Depending on your setup this could be simple, or quite complex, and it could also take a while to run.

 

I thought it was now possible to include photos in an independent report, used for regular reports home, in this case you should be able to set it up and just insert a result out of assessment. I just don't know if that feature to add a photo is there or whether I dreamt it! Sorry.

I have a report with photos for a class, and I know exactly what you mean with filtering the conditions. Its just trying to find the right bit to filter Im struggling with.

 

I'm leaning towards printing the photos and using a pen.

Try something like this:

 

In the subquery, i didn't put resultset or resultdate and after a long wait, i got back a list of every result that was stored against that aspect name, regardless of resultset. They were all from test data input last year.

So i have added those extra conditions but not tested. If you can narrow down the list to just one target grade that might work.

 

If your original report is already filtering down to a class level, maybe you can track the results down to the template they were entered through. I think it's likely to get complex and require editing each time if you need it for lots of different classes / years / subjects. If every student just had one of these grade types, it would work really quickly.

 

Depending on purpose, you might as well dump your data to Excel and mailmerge for speed or as you say, use a pen!

solved it now. Spoke to Capita and they walked me through it.

Using aspect name to pull data from the marksheet works.

I do have to put in the aspect name and class for each report, but thats easy enough. 5 mins to run each report is quicker than mailmerging.
