ps2mint Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Hi all, I'm a teacher at a school and have a major problem - we have trackers and lesson resources stored on sharepoint and prior to the update we were able to load these up. Since the updates on Tuesday word/powerpoint/excel load up and the credentials box appears. After typing in my correct credentials the box then appears on the screen again and the office application states that it is no longer responding. I've spoken to the ICT team at school but as yet they do not know what the problem is. Has anybody else been experiencing this issue since the windows update this week? Many thanks
comrade Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) It the box re-appears it would indicate you are not typing in the correct details. Have you ever had to enter the details before? Your login and password may be correct, but it might need the domain as well. So it would be: domain\yourusername in the username field. Use this page to find out what your domain name is. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-vista/find-the-domain-your-computer-is-on Go around to IT and pester them at the door, I am sure they will help. Not aware of any updates that would cause this. Don't let them know you asked on Edugeek, its a sin you know. Edited October 15, 2015 by comrade
mrwoberts Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I've read something that could be related to this. In essence, uninstall KB3085509 and see if that fixes the issue. C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:3085509 /quiet /norestart
ps2mint Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Thanks for the replies. We have office 2010 - don't know if that makes a difference or not!?
ps2mint Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Yes, I have always had to enter the details before, but usually it just works fine and loads up! I'm sure in the login box it does have the correct domain listed
