Laptop cannot open Sharepoint documents since Windows update on Tuesday

Hi all,

I'm a teacher at a school and have a major problem - we have trackers and lesson resources stored on sharepoint and prior to the update we were able to load these up. Since the updates on Tuesday word/powerpoint/excel load up and the credentials box appears. After typing in my correct credentials the box then appears on the screen again and the office application states that it is no longer responding.

I've spoken to the ICT team at school but as yet they do not know what the problem is.

Has anybody else been experiencing this issue since the windows update this week?

Many thanks

It the box re-appears it would indicate you are not typing in the correct details.

Have you ever had to enter the details before?

Your login and password may be correct, but it might need the domain as well. So it would be:

domain\yourusername in the username field.

Use this page to find out what your domain name is.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-vista/find-the-domain-your-computer-is-on

Go around to IT and pester them at the door, I am sure they will help.:p

Not aware of any updates that would cause this. Don't let them know you asked on Edugeek, its a sin you know.

Yes, I have always had to enter the details before, but usually it just works fine and loads up! I'm sure in the login box it does have the correct domain listed
