SAWilliamson Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Currently using broadband provided by RBC - connectivity can be flakey. Would like to have a second backup broadband connection when the RBC connections goes down. Can anyone recommend an alternative provider.
Geoff Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Check the T&C of your RBC connection. There may be clauses preventing you from procuring a backup connection.
RobC Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 If you are looking for reliability - Zen Internet. Four years running, they have been PC Pro's Best Broadband ISP.
dhicks Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Can anyone recommend an alternative provider. I think we're going to try Be Broadband, who seem to offer 24mbit/sec download. -- David Hicks
SteveD Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Vote for Be here... We are close to an exchange and get 22Mbps/1.5Mbps all day long. The BeBox (router) that they supply can be a bit flaky so we installed a Cisco 857 instead. Annual saving compared to the LEA £8,000 - £268 whatever that is! The connection has been 100% reliable so far.
