leachim Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 Its NTFS I have done a disk check via XP using the Error checking and ticking the 2 boxes
Suteijian Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) Have you tried this ? Raw Partition solution - recover data from raw partitions. Usually trying to get data from RAW can damage the data, I think. If you're able to get the data from the drive and maybe try a reformat as NTFS to see if fixes the issue. leachim Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 OK I don't need to recover stuff because I can read it with an XP machine Why is it not readable on my Vista machine ??
Suteijian Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Is it only vista causing the issue, do you have windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 to see if the same issue happening? Reading a few in past had the same issue and most redirecting them to this page: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730714(WS.10).aspx
leachim Posted October 16, 2015 Author Posted October 16, 2015 Sorted it Right click on it in Computer Management Choose "Assign Drive Letter" Solved Easy when u know how
