mdking Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Hi, When I try to open a Power Point file with Shockwave flash object Links in, it comes up with an error: "Power Point found a problem with content in "File.pptx". Power Point can attempt to repair the presentation. If you trust the source of this presentation, click repair." Then I click on Repair. This then comes up "Some controls on this presentation cant be activated. They might not be registered on this computer" Then it comes up with. "Power Point couldn't read some content in file.pptx [Repaired] and removed it. Please check your presentation to see if the rest of it is ok" We have changed the settings in the trust centre, I have enabled all macros, un ticked protected view options. Also enabled all controls for Active X. Un installed and re installed Office. Also tried to save as a different file format, still didn't work. I have tried a different PC. Thanks Matt
themightymrp Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Check out this recent discussion about something similar with Boardworks presentations containing Flash: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/office-software/141718-some-controls-presentation-cant-activated-boardworks.html Some things for you to try on there
xlandhenry Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 It's caused by the recent flash player 19 ActiveX plugin update. Roll back to 18 and you'll be good to go.
