Spiceworks

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

 

I have set up a new VM with server 2012 r2 this morning, installed spice works. It has been saying "Spiceworks is heating up...) since 11am this morning. How long does it usually take, or has something gone wrong with it, thanks in advance for any help

It is doing stuff behind the scenes and the page doesnt actually do anything. I take it you've refreshed the page?

Have you got javascript enabled? This will stop the page from progressing, as will having IE Enhanced Security Configuration enabled.

 

Either disable IE ESC whilst you set SW up (don't forget to reenable it after) or use another browser (can be from another machine if needed, but make sure the firewall ports for spiceworks are open in windows firewall)
