Hi,

 

I want a formula to use within SIMS for a column which measures a students effort for homework based on letters P, G, A, R. Once the staff member has rated them using the letters I want the column to change to the appropriate colour, blue, green, amber & red.

 

How would I do this?

Use a "nested if...else" formula column for review. You the set up each condition to make the column your chosen colour, and also to colour the original column. Finally, make sure "Calculate on data entry" is ticked on the template so it happens automatically.

Did you hit 'Calculate' at the top of the marksheet?

 

You'll have to do this for any marksheet where the data has already been entered, however if on the template you check the 'calculate on data entry' box, it'll happen automatically in future (unless it's entered via SLG, when you'll have to calculate manually again)
