Liam Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Document manager server stopped working today. Tried everything, firewall AV dns everything. This doesn't even work from the sims server. I read that if you stop the service and delete the dms confit file and reconfigure it may resolve it. Every time I try to use the dmconfig command I get an access denied message. I tried changing it to d:/docstorage is this right? Any help would be appreciated
Banjo Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Sounds like permissions. When you test the connection from within SIMS does it come back with OK? You have the option to uninstall/reinstalling as it's pretty quick and easy job.
GeeDee86 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I've just had the same issue... In the doc server config file (probably in program files...) make sure it references a UNC path rather than a mapped drive Still on phone to county support desk so can't update much more than that at the moment...
Liam Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Really? So when running dmconfig /d you are entering \\servername\sharename? Thanks
GeeDee86 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Hi Liam, I just edited the config XML to use \\servername\sharename Then restarted the server... It worked after that! G
