Sims dms not working

Document manager server stopped working today.

 

Tried everything, firewall AV dns everything.

 

This doesn't even work from the sims server.

 

I read that if you stop the service and delete the dms confit file and reconfigure it may resolve it.

 

Every time I try to use the dmconfig command I get an access denied message.

 

I tried changing it to d:/docstorage is this right?

Sounds like permissions. When you test the connection from within SIMS does it come back with OK?

 

You have the option to uninstall/reinstalling as it's pretty quick and easy job.

I've just had the same issue... In the doc server config file (probably in program files...) make sure it references a UNC path rather than a mapped drive

 

Still on phone to county support desk so can't update much more than that at the moment...

Really? So when running dmconfig /d you are entering \\servername\sharename?

Hi Liam,

 

I just edited the config XML to use \\servername\sharename

 

Then restarted the server...

 

It worked after that!
