[bug/error] Can't add rep

I am trying to give rep to a user, but it's not even coming up with the "You've given this user rep before" message. It does nothing. Is it broken? Have tried multiple browsers

It's the message that's not displayed; +repping people you've not thanked for a while is still fine.

Here's a test: Right click the add rep star and open the link in a new tab.

 

I seem to recall that the message has a font colour that makes it difficult to see against the rest of the page?
