[sccm 2007] preparing network connections reboot

Hi,

 

In Prep for setting up 50 + new laptops we have created a new computer image as our old one was 3+ years old. I have captured the image, imported it into sccm, and updated the task sequence to point to that image.

 

When i PXE boot it boots up into win PE splash screen then i get a message saying "preparing network connections" the PC then reboots into windows. I have read that it could be an issue with the boot image but im using the same one as last time and it has always worked fine in the past, plus when i put the original image back in it build fine.

 

Anyone any ideas?? Im baffled
